Ted Bundy huddles inside an Orange County Sheriff’s Department van following his arrival in Orlando on January 6, 1980 to stand trial for the slaying of Kimberly Leach. He arrived by helicopter at Orlando’s Municipal Justice Building where, angered to discover members of the news media waiting in the booking office, he was able to persuade police to book him in private.  – The Orlando Sentinel.
