Laura Aime was last seen leaving the park heading west towards Brown’s Cafe on Halloween night 1974. Her body was found Thanksgiving Day laying next to a streambed in Timpanogos Canyon, Utah. Coroners decided that she was only dead for one week.

The cave entrance that has been a popular tourist destination since the 1960’s, was administrated by the US Forest Service. Laura was found by the river down about 20’ down an embankment on the north side of the road by 2 BYU students who were hiking on a powerline trail on the opposite side of the river. Apparently, she had been thrown from the vehicle, as Ted was keen to leave quickly, 4 inches of snow having accumulated on the road east in Lehi (more possibly in the canyon) Halloween night, 1974. The canyon was indeed open that evening according to F.S. records. – A Visual Timeline
